Driving with now back box

  Mk4 .:R32
the pipe between the cat and the back box has corroded and the back box has literally fallen off.

Is it unsafe to drive? I don't need to go long distances, only about 8 miles a day, so just wondering if I drive sensibly is it effecting my car? Seems ok apart from the ridiculous noise it makes.

I'm just waiting until GDI have free time to sort me a new exhaust :)

I've only driven about 10 miles in the last week because of this problem, it's just been sat in my garage hiding!

Mine did exactly the same :p

It's not unsafe, but it is fecking loud so you might get pulled

I found I got more miles to a tank with it off too
