Was the rear discs fitted using the correct torque setting?

If they are to tight which is normally the case the bearing will fail again quickly. 75 nm or pounds it should be. Someone will say which. You should then check them. And then head back to the garage to be refunded and new set fitted.

Hi, a droning noise from the rear is going to mean only two things are really possible. Firstly wheel bearings or secondly badly worn or cheap tyres which have feathered.
To check the bearings jack each wheel independently and using two hands gently rotate the wheel feeling for any notchyness, give the wheel a sharp spin and see if the wheel rotates silently which it should. Place your hands on either side of the wheel and rock the wheel sideways with you hands at 9 and 3 o'clock, and then 12 and 6 o'clock respectively. There should be no play clicking or slop. MAKE SURE YOU MIND TRAPPING FINGERS WHEN SPINNING THE WHEEL! Normally these types of bearings are very resistant to over tightening due to their design. However they are a roller bearing which isnt a particularly strong bearing. I have modified mine with megane taper bearings of the same dimensions from VECO and have never had a further issue.
If that is ok check your tyres pressures, visibly check your tyre treads and make sure the tyres havent gone out of shape. Then run your hands around the circumference checking for raised edges to the tread blocks in one direction only. This is a common cause of noise and is caused by naff wheel bearings, naff shocks, or just cheap nasty tyres.
These typres of problems are unlikely to be caused by the brakes unless they are hortribly binding which you can normally feel as the vehicle doesnt roll properly, and you feel it through the brake pedal.
Hope this helps
