Drying before a good polish? Is it essential

Car  Black Gold with cup packs
With a polish in mind after giving the car a good wash, Is it ok to let the car dry naturally rather than drying it by hand?

Yes with out the use of a drying aid i.e chamois leather
Just letting dry el natural! then polishing it after say an hours drying time

I wouldnt you get all the horrible water marks etc and they wont polish out easy i always dry it with a water magnet better than a chamois

If you intend to polish it after straight after you could get away without drying it that well as any marks left will easily polish away. Would not just leave it to self dry completely with normal water.

If you are just looking to just wax it, always best to dry it properly.

That said I don't dry my paintwork anymore at all !
