Drying towels and finishing cloth

  Black Sheep
After much time asking about detailing ect I have binned my turtle waxes ect and bought my self a good set of Autoglym products using the Halfords three for two deal. Now I know some people may say they are rubbish but I know that the queens car cleaners, chaufers ect DO actually use them it's not just a sales pitch. Now I need to get some good towels rather than the chamois I was using and finishing clothes. Could anyone also tell me what reasonable priced buffer I should get. Also what pads I should use when A applying super resin polish. And B applying dodo juice wax, also what dodo juice wax for a black 172 links would be good. Cheers

For dark coloured cars I'd recommend Victoria's Concours Wax...

It's lovely stuff!

Drying Towel...

CYC's own one is the best I've used (so far) and it really is huge! Good price, too.

For applying SRP/Wax I've always used the foam pads. They're perfect for the job imo...

As for microfibres, I'd suggest you pick some odd ones up and try them yourself. I'm a big fan of the meguiars ones but they arent cheap! Cheaper ones tend to be smaller and not as 'plush' but providing you're not using too much product it's never really an issue imo. Just personal preference.

Great shout Si, mate. I'd have been looking at AG HD wax, will last for ages as a nebie to detailing you don't need fancy waxes but vics is very special for such little £'s.

Great shout Si, questions answered!

I am not saying they do although I don't think they would be doing the job if they didn't. I have seen the cars up close and they are immaculate. All I was saying if it's good enough for the queens car it's good enough for my Clio.

Give me a 3M Sun Gun and I'll show you otherwise ;)
