Another advantage of 4 pots - £60 for a set of DS2500's instead of the insane £120 ish they are for clio calipers
what 4 pots are those?????
for the R26 brembo's they are about €160!!!!!
and the cost of 4 pots is.................
yes but you are excessively heavy on the brakes, cool down laps - good idea
Not this argument again, I have to brake first/longer compared to a mates Clio on RC6 so I think that's where the heat is coming from, I get a slight warp which then almost disappears after they are cold and normal driving resumes. Without appropriate cooling I think they will stay warped.
Sbridgey echo's this problem and from what i'v read he's the last to blink on the brakes and has tried various compounds so I stick to my original comment.
Well there is that, as long as you don't fly into the barrier.:SIt's worth the inital outlay when some dickhead has been holding you up in the corners because he thinks his willy is bigger than yours - so you just wait for him to brake, fly right by and brake 4 seconds later lol
Lol Phil, not sure it's worth the initial outlay. I can get about 10 trackdays out of a set of DS2500s.
I reckon it's them not being bedded in correctly that create's problems. Anyway they're stll good for lack of dust OP.
plymcl - buy some rc6 and see how you cope I've run all sorts of pads for year on all sorts of clios and all sorts of spec, the rc6 are the first to kill the wheels that have been on the car for years on all the other pads
I currently have standard Renault pads, crap grooved discs, and the brakes feel a bit pants but perhaps that's because the track car brakes are pretty savage. I may try some brembo o/e pads if they are different from the ones that come out of the Renault box??
