I like the 3/4 its just filling the bumper recess thats the problem coz a smaller plate sometimes looks odd

I've got standard sized totally plain plates on mine in irish font thats approx 10% smaller than UK font but the same style. Subtle and clean looking but doesn't attract unwanted attention

The Law only states that the plate itself my be reflective and clear, with no ghost images. IIRC

The lettering is what they get a boner about, as long as that conforms to style, size and spacing I would tell and rozzer to "ram it."
