dvd recorder or freeview with hard drive

any1 got either of these?i was thinking hard drive box will be easier to use??canu record from tv with dvd recorder????already have a very good dvd player so wasnt really bothered about playback on the recorder i also have a dvd recorder or my laptop do only thing i really intended to use it for is recording form tv(unless there is anything else i can do with dvd recorder??)

Yes you can record TV with a dvd recorder, but if I didnt already have a damn good PVR I would go for the freeview/HDD box.
