DVD Recorder Problem

My DVD recorder has all of a sudden decided that it doesnt recognise the DVD +RW disc that i have been using for ages. It comes up with the message "cannot play this disc". I have been using the same disc for a long time so i am puzzled.
It plays other discs fine.
Any ideas?

It's a long shot but it may be the disc...

Lol tried several discs. But only DVD +RW as thats all i have.
