DVD to AVI software

I have a load of DVD's that i am wanting to convert into AVI's so I can put them on my external hardrive ready for streaming to PS3.

Whats the best software I can use to do this easily?? I have a few things like super DVD ripper but I dont like it...I just want to selct the DVD and say convert to avi.

With all the ones I have you have to select the VOB file etc.
