Dynamiqye LOWERED Tracking query

  H22A7 Accord Type R

ok...........met 1.6 16v today and got some new tyres on the back of my car.........i have lowered it 40mm. Apparently one of my rear tyres was scrubbed on the outisde edge, and this is because i have lowered it (not the fact that cars go around roundabouts??????????) so out comes Mr Professional, i have been here for MANY years type of guy............40mm? waste of time mate, you have messed it all up............you cant track that! so i put my £40 away n decided not to let them computer-track it! so whats the crack? The new clio has springs on the back and by just replacing the springs it knocks it all out??? not just the camber? So basically, all us with lowered cars scrub tyres????????? COME ON????????? help guys, whats the case, Fred, Tom, 60mm drop??????? what do u find???? surely i must be able to get it tracked with a 40mm drop, even tho i dont think it is out that much!!>>?? how can the TOE change on the rear axle????? Help ppl.........tell me someone is talkin sh*te,,,,,,,,,,,,look forward to some advice boys n girls! cheers, Rob :)

Rubbish

My tracking is 100% fine my tyres all wear at the same rate (ish the fronts are diff)

you cannot adjust the rear beam\axle it only moves up and down

Yep rubbish.... I would say to get the tracking done when you change your suspension just to make sure nothing was knocked out but all the settings are the same as when its standard........ You might get a little more wear on the inside but I get that and mines standard its just coz i corner flat out......

thanks boys!!! is it worth a 4 wheel alignment?????? or just the front two????? sound like front two?! Thanks for the advice, Im sure 1.6 16v will agree that the old guy was very abrupt to slate my 40mm Lowering springs lol!!!

im convinced that the rear wear was only due to roundabout cornering!!! stupid arse

Load of bolloxs, i got mine tracked when i lowered it 60mm!!! no rubbing at all, are you 100% positive its worn on the outside edge of the rear tyre???? (you havent swaped the fronts to the back or anything???)

Some garages track them by putting a tracking device (no star trek jokes please!!!) over the top of the tyre, but since we moved into the 21st century tracking tools have been invented that sit on the face of the wheel

Live long and prosper!!!

like i say fred........i swapped my two back ones over 1 month ago, so its prob the tyre that has had 13000 miles of roundabouts! it was hardly worn!!! ?! stupid eh

I have a theory about the Apex 40mm springs... My thinking is as follows:

a) Everyone seems to get rubbing with the 40mm springs, even tho not on 60mm by Pi...

b) The ride quality is not at all hard, still plenty soft, in fact no worse than with the stock springs.

leading me to conclusion c) the springs are too soft!

but you dont got 17"s John. I should have phrased that:

a) Everyone with 17"s seems to get rubbing with the 40mm springs, even tho not the 17" boys whore on 60mm by Pi...

!!

lol

Yer the guy was a dick. Think he intially thought though that the car had been lowered by altering the torsion beam(or is it bar?) as you do when you lower a pug. He said it was to do with too lines that line up on each wheel or somet and how lowering it moves these apart. i dunno what he was on about. The guy said by lowering it you had messed up the whole dynamics of the car, steering been something he threw out

Cant complain though they never charged me for tracking and said it would cost £22.50
