ECU Cover

how on earth do u remove the top cover for the ECU on a 1.5dci 2003 clio????

tried everythin apart from takin it to a mechanic or renault

all help appreciated

If its anything like all the other clios, just stick a screwdriver in the little hole(s) between the upper (removable) and lower (fixed) parts. It just comes apart!

That is of course assuming youre talking about the black metal cage it lives in and not the actual silver lid of the ecu

there is a clip that locates in a groove on the outer cover.this is on the battery side of the cover.get a screwdriver between the two parts so it releases the clip and pull the cover off.these can be a right pain sometimes and its difficult to explain where to exactly knock your screwdriver in to release the clip.
