ecu virginise / immobiliser issue

  ph 2 172
ok guys new member with a problem. immobiliser is intermittently not switching off when i go to start the car. key was in a poor state when i got it so this may be the issue. however to solve problems i figure i will get the immobiliser taken off the car. does anyone know of anyone in the teesside areawho can remove the standard immobiliser from a phase 2 172? alternatively a mail order company who can do the work?. or even any different suggestions? cheers.

btw this is a real pain when it takes upto 4 hours for the car to recognise your key.

You cant remove the immob from a ph2 172, people have tried and cant, just to clear that up

I was under the impression that ecu could be virginised and an emulator fitted to overcome the ecu? Or is that ph 1 only?

I have the same issue with mine, sometimes it wont start and sometimes you walk away and press the central locking button only to have to return to your car with an embarrassed expression on your face as you have to go back to the car and fiddle with the key to get it to lock :/
Other than changing the fob/key blade there ain't alot else I could suggest.
