100% waste of time imo, either buy a laptop if you need to work on it on the move, or get a mac if youre an overpaid fashion victim.

get a phone with web browsing capabilities if you dont wanna carry around a laptop/mac

I have to disagree. To get a laptop that size costs a hell of a lot more and for what most people use them for they are perfect. My missus is just about to give birth and will need a small cheap laptop that she can manage with one hand to use Skype, email, internet etc. Phones are to small to do all this and you need to up the tarrif if you are on a low one to do it. I did think of a laptop but it would be 15" and heavy for similar money.

Nobber! :clown: I agree the fact that for a few notes more you can get a half decent laptop but if I wanted something mega portable I'd get one just to use at the in laws, on the move etc. I don't need an all singing bulky laptop with mega memory. If I want a bit of extra memory I have an old Sony 20GB HD5 that I can use for an external HD. It's the price as well. I'd love a TZ series Vaio but they are silly money.

Got one and they aren't all that... Certainly not the price tag over the other portables.

We use them on crash trolleys at work for connecting up to b0rked servers, as laptops are "too big" and my boss likes shiny gadgets
