Eibach Prolines on a 182

I have been searching and cant really find the answer i am after is it worth getting eibach prolines or sportlines for a 182 with cup packs, i am not bothered about lowering the car really, i just wanted to know which has the best handeling and is it really a worth while mod on a car with cup packs? or am i just aswel of keeping my money? thanks for any help.

I have been reading through so many threads about this after doing a search and the answer still doesn't seem clear!

I'm after a slight drop in the ride height but don't really want it any stiffer, if it makes it handle better then it's a bonus. What springs should I go for, Prolines or Sportlines. Is the only difference in the two that Sportlines lower the car a little more, or is one stiffer than the other?

Will the affect change on a standard 1*2 compared to one fitted with cup suspension. i.e. less of a drop etc?

Sportlines are great on mine, slight drop, not noticably stiffer but a lot better handling imo.

I had sportlines on my cupped 182, only gave it a slight drop but didn't feel any harsher ride, just made the steering feel more responsive and better handling. I drive my bf's 182 without sportlines on and could certainly tell the difference, especially down country lanes.

Thanks for all the response, I'm still a little unsure about them as I've just read again in another thread about it actually looking higher at the rear??

How long would you say it takes for the springs to set in at there ride height? I've only ever lowered my 5 Turbo before which only had front springs/ rear torsion bar and that didn't really change from the first day I fitted them

Mine is on sportlines. Non cup suspension and it was a noticeable drop but not too much.

Front is -25mm and back is -15mm on a non cup suspensioned 182 IIRC...Certainly looks about that.

Sportlines give it a much more aggressive stance I reckon.

The pro-kits are supposed to give the best handling. They don't drop very much at all -20mm at most.

The Prolines do lower non-cupped 182's but not a great deal.

Sportlines are the way to go for a Cup packed car, but again, the drop isn't much.
They are more of a handling improvement.

Had sports on my 182cup, now got pro's on my 172. I prefer the pro's. They don't lower much, but the ride is more settled, handling is much better. With the sports handling is improved but the ride does suffer a bit. The pro'd 172 feels more settled than the sport'd 182 did on rough/wet roads.

I had Sportlines on my 182 and they lowered a little. The best thing about they was the huge reduction in body roll (wish I hadn't sold them), made such a better handeling car.
