Eibach Sportline Spring Kit

Sold by K-tec if i fit these to a 2003 1.2 16V will my dampers die or will they be able to survive? benefits and drwbacks of doing this please? will it make a difference??? thanks for the help.

Matt

Eibach sportline springs typically only lower cars by about 30mm, so no need for short stroke dampers. They are progressive springs so they will firm up under cornering as more of the spring is compressed, but you will retain most of the suppleness of the original springs when driving "normally". Lowering the car lowers the centre of gravity, combine this with a stiffer spring rate which reduces body roll and you have a better handling car.
