*EIBACH SPRINGS*

  Clio 172 Ph2

This is the pro kit yeah?

Youve got them on yours havent you mike? Did you fit them yourself?

Im thinking about getting some from k-tech but Im worried about putting the wheel alignment and that out. Would I need the camber correcting bolts do you think?

Either I do it or I run the car down to Elite and pay about 250.

Oh I SO want to do this :)

How long does it take to for them bed in, as I have a driving day coming up ???

Having a bit of a coil-overs/or pro kit moment

I know which IS best, but just want to do it NOW rather than wait and save for the coil-overs + the insurance company dont like the idea.

You shouldnt NEED camber correction bolts, but if you want to setup to get rid of some understear then they can be a good thing, eibach pro-kit is not really about the lowering, its about the handling increasing that comes from fitting them.

I got a local garage to fit them - cost £40. No need for camber bolts, but you do need to correct the wheel alignment. Any tyre centre can do this for you. It should cost less than £30.

Cant seem to remember mate, but I understand the guys spent a lot of effort modding it.... :devilish: should turn a few heads when its finished I reckon!

Is that the kit you have John? If so by looking at his car in that picture and in the flesh at Power Engineering the visual difference was obvious, made the wheels look bigger and rather tasty imo!

jpmad4it2 -

There was a 172 at the Bolton meet last night with the Eibachs and he was parked next to me...

Not a lot lower, but noticable, particularly at the front and looks "right" to me, not too low.

He says the handling is great now, so if I were to get springs, thats what Id go for.

Thanks Rich

But for "handles great now" read "handles even better, coz it was pretty stonking in the 1st place"

Nice to meet up with yawl last night.
