Its like theyrer softer over the first 2 or 3cm of compression, before they stop compressing and "dig in". Its off putting at first, but believe me, once dug in the handling is ace. For the purposes of comparison I test drove a cupd 182 2 weeks ago and razzed it around my favourite big roundabout at about 40mph - it was understeering and squealing its way around, though felt very adjustable with the throttle. But I couldnt go around and keep it tightly pointing forwards as quickly with the 182 as I can in my eibachd cup. So Id conclude that my handling is better - the 182 understeered and lost grip earlier than my cup did. Albeit only 1 or 2mph difference. Worth trying out, and honestly if I thought the handling was worse I would have put the standard springs back on.
That sounds like a good description of the 182s handling, to me there is a definite twilight zone on initial turn into a corner, it sounds like the Eibachs have a similar characteristic tho, I think il leave it as standard for now and just enjoy the car for what it is, a bloody good laugh!
cheers
