are electric superchargers a complete waste of time? or if you get a good one are they worth havving?

In answer to your question yes they are a waste of time, I have heard stories of the "PCWorld" computer cooling fans braking inside and bits of it getting inside the combustion chamber. Of course the company denied liability and needless to say he was left with a rather large bill.

My advice, save you cash and look at other possibilities. Perhaps in time they will develop something worthwhile but forget the ebay goodies for now.
