electric windows

both my electric windows work but for somereason i cant open or close the passenger one with the button on the drivers side? any suggestions

most likely a fault with the switch on the drivers side.

Sorry to hijack your thread. But I have a problem with mine as well. The passenger window takes a decade to go up and down. Any ideas?

and how do you clean the switch? lol and if that doesnt work im guessing its a trip to the scrappys for a replacement one?

try spraying some spray grease down the glass runners.if that doesnt help then the regulator moters probably weak.

mine both make a clicking noise when they go up. not when they go down. i had my windows tinted and im sure something was not put back correctly.

try greasing the regulator and check all the mounting bolts are tight.check the glass to regulator mounting point is secure and the clip is securely fitted.

is this easily done, i dont wanna take it apart and f**k it up! is it just a question of taking the door panel off?

take off the door panel,grease all the moving mechanism parts,have a good look round/listen when you operate the window and check that non of the visible 10m nuts are loose.

anything i should watch out for when i do this? bits dropping out of glass coming lose?!!

check the rubber pad hasnt fell off the plastic bracket that mounts the glass to the regulator.have a listen while you operate the window to see if you can hear where the noise is from and see if some grease will stop it.spray all the glass runners as well.
