electric windows

i ws driving home last night with the windows closed but could hear a slight draft so i pulled up on both passenger and driver electric window buttons and the hazzard lights came on:eek: WTF!?!

i invite all you 172 owners to try this, im curious to see if this happens on all 172s, its so wierd because the windows have fcuk all to do with the hazzards:confused:

any idea if you can change the window settings so that one touch opens or closes them and you dont have to keep your finger pressed down??

You got me thinking now........!!!

Im sure I had to keep it pressed, I will have to test that later

i dont think i was that clear on my last post. with the windows closed and engine running pull the two electric windows up (as if you were closing the windows) at the same time and see if your hazzards flash because im totally serious, my hazzards DO flash:)

the window buttons operate like this, press and hold to go up or down, or press up/down quickly to get them to go up/down by themselves, not a problem. By the way, my hazards dont flash, but i do get a beep sound. Strange?

yes worked out the pressing quickly to go up/down all the way, onlky for the drivers window though.

Couldnt get the passenger to do it................

Nope the driver is one touch but the passenger is not on mine. Bit of a pain in the morning when I want to clear windows as I have to back off drive.

Anybody know if passenger setting can be changed?

Thanks
