ELECTRICAL LIGHT ON CLIO DASHBOARD

  clio
Hi people,
I have a had my Clio 1.2 (2002) for 8 months now. Ever since I have had the car, when braking/stopping at a junction the following light will come on the dashboard:

The car will then switch off (like the car has been stalled), or the revs will then bounce. If I then rev the engine to 3,000 for around 10 seconds, the light goes off and runs normally again.

When plugging the car into a diags machine, it shows MAP SENSOR issue. I paid around £100 to have this replaced and re-wired but after a week or so it does the exact same thing.
It is now back in the garage, they now think its the Crank Senor, and they say the coolant is leaking on it.

Has anyone ever experienced this before? And is it possible that the Crank Sensor can cause this problem?

Thank you!

The problem is its a 1.2 16v and they're plagued with electrical gremlins that cause all kinds of problems.

Firstly have the wiring loom at the back of the engine checked as its common for damage to occur in this area.
