Electrical problem maybe?

Basically if my car is sat still idling te interior lights, dash and exterior lights wil pulse, sometimes worse than others, the only thing I dot understand is that if I turn te key off but leave lights etc on they stop pulsing and are fine :/ any ideas?

Alternator related issue. Could be the regulator on the alternator.

another stupid question, when in my service book it says, the timing belt has been changed is that the cambelt?

Yes timing belt will have been the cam belt.

Thankyou, I'm getting the alternator checked later, but someone wants to buy the car so just incase it's not that any other ideas? As its been like that for months so I don't think it's the alternator or I would have run out of battery?

ok had the alternator checked, its charging fine, but he said the volts are jumping all over the shop!, so maybe new alternator unless i just live with it

As I said, it sounds like a regulator fault which is part of the alternator.

Don't have a clue when it comes to cost or fitting because I've never had to look into it.
