Electrical Warning Light

Mk2 Ph2 2001 1.2.


Had it coming off a roundabout today, lost all power and had to pull in. Turned the engine off restarted, got going only for it to lose power but rev to just over 1K, turned it off restarted it, revved to 3K a couple of times and alls well now.

Checked the usual things, ECU, MAP sensor etc.

Anyone know what it could be, or is it a dealer job?

mines was throttle posistioning sensor, but apparently keeping the little metal cover that chews through the wires at the back of engine in your door card solves it lol

Don't think so, all the elctrics still work.

Checked that, the wires don't apper to have been worn through by the anti-tamper lid.

think the only way is to get it on the laptop, could be a few things

serious question - why is it called an anti-tamper lid if it just falls off? lol
