Electrics - foglight comes on when I indicate and brake

How is this cured please if anyone knows, or it happens to them. It does it on my mates clio aswell. Also my indicator sometimes comes on when I reverse then brake. Problem is it's first MOT time now and I fear it won't go through with this problem.

It's a 2003 1.2 16v

Clean the earths mate

how would I go about this please mate? would I clean the light or the wires from the car?

Under the bonnet of my clio the earth connection for the front lights is bolted on jsut to the right of the radiator. If you are cleaning then I suggest you disconnect the earth from the battery, then unbolt the earth connection, clean everything with contact cleaner, re assemble and apply a little silicone grease.

I had problems with the foglights on my 1999 clio II not switching on. Using a multimeter I found that it was down to a connection at one of the plugs. I also found that much of the earth wiring was corroded for the whole front lighting system and ended up replacing all the underbonnet wiring for the foglights and most of the earth wires for the front lighting system.
