Elephant and my no claims bonus

That time of year has come again when it is time to renew my car insurance got a reasonable quote of £280 from elephant for me and my girlfriend. However yet again Elephant have given me an extra years no claims!! I had an accident on 13/12/2003 which was settled 50/50 as sadly the witness never provided a statement to my insurers which was elephant at that time as well. Although the accident was settled 50/50 they never revoked my bonus! So instead of having 2 years they say I have 3

Every year since I have been sent a renewal with an extra year. Every year I call up as I don't want to be liable for the mistake. Every year I get told it is their mistake and they will honour it. However when I ask for proof all they offer to send is a no claims certificate which also contains the mistake it doesn't actually admit their mistake and state they are willing to honour it!

I am nervous (what me paranoid nervous never) that they will blame me if I have another claim!

P.S. My bonus is not protected and never has been.

If they said the will honor the mistake it is down to them. They may want to keep your businness and offer a years NCB to keep you. But if it's been recorded on your file that you've called to contest the amount of years NCB given and they've said keep em then it's their responsability.

dw mate ur lucky mine went up and i aint even had a claim or nothing plus i got my first years no claims bonus. well annoying!
