Elite controller and Xbox

Worth buying? Going to trade in my old launch console, just wondering if its worth the extra £80 over a 1tb normal xbox?

I prefer the elite controller over the normal one + the elite console comes with a hybrid 1tb hd too although I don't know what sort of performance gains you get from it.

Well the controller alone is more than that and the inevitable hard drive purchase to boost your old one means it makes sense (probs about £50). Plus your console sounds like a pile of s**t so just get rid.

Also where is this deal as looking to upgrade myself.

Game will trade a 500gb launch console with box for £120-£155, so its around £250 for a new Elite 1tb on top of my old very very temperamental launch console.

Sounds like a no brainer! I paid £110 just for a controller do you're potentially paying less for the controller and a new console. At the very least you will get more memory and considering I just bought a 2TB external hard disk for about £80, it sounds like a great deal.
