Emerald management

  ValverInBits
Just been reading through the emerald website....

MAN! that is some gucci management.
It will accept any sensor you can think of, Including things like oil temp, exhaust temp.

Work out a way of linking up a road speed sensor to it, and you then have Traction control, the ability to adjust turbo boost for different gears

Best of all (as far as I am concerned) you can have 3 completely different maps and switch between them (WHILE DRIVING!) with a dash selector switch. Imagine, One for high boost, one for low boost, and one for low octane petrol :):)

How does everything else compare? Emerald is quite deer at £681.50 inc VAT

Emerald is good, and the switchable maps certainly is THE party trick.

But most other management systems will do everything else the same.

anyone had any experience with mega squirt?

It's by far the cheapest option. Spoken to a mate who ran it. He described it as "not quite automotive grade technology"
I spose I can see what he means. As it's open source it seems to have been designed by too many people.....
Anyone have any experiences?

Hi mate, are you searching for the most cost-effective (i.e. cheap but not sheeeite) standalone management?

If so, I am right with you... :D
