Emissions warning light - 197

Hi guys,

The emissions warning light on my 197 has come on. Took the car to the dealer and they found a fault with the oxygen sensor and would need replacing but also the engine loom as it looks like it’s been repaired previously "poorly" in their words.

Car runs perfectly fine but they are quoting me £500+ to put it right. Are they having a laugh??

Appreciate any advice.

07 plate, still under warranty so I thought it would just be repaired / replaced under warranty. But they think it’s been repaired before and it’s not on the Renault database so they can't do it under warranty, hence the £500+ quote.

just seems excessive given the car runs perfectly fine (touch wood).

Might try an independent for a second opinion

Take it to another dealer. See if they say the same thing.

Mine used to come on here and there. Teneded to be if i was labouring the engine slightly. Opening the taps got rid of it every time
