EML - Decat and no with CAT fitted

Hi Guys,

Just had a new centre section made up and got them to refit my cat.
The previous owner said the EML was on due to the decat, no I've refitted the cat the light is still on.

Does it need hooking up to a computer and the fault codes resetting? Or should it have gone off?

both really it can be reset with a code reader or RSTuner or by a dealer, but i am lead to believe that if you leave if long enough it will auto reset itslef but it will take some time and a few hundred miles, if you get stuck i can reset it for you free of charge but i am in warrington.

As above, it needs reset as there will be a stored fault in the system even though the "fault" has been rectified.

Had it reset tonight but my car seems to be misfiring a bit under load? Only happened since changing the exhaust today?

There isn't any EML lights up at the moment, something I'd expect to have come up.

Will take it for another spin when I get out of bed and see how it. If the problem still occurs I'll whip the top inlet off and see what's going on

False alarm, car seems to be fine now
