i've been slowly detailing my engine bay over the last week

i've been using numerous brushes from steel brushes to soft dusting brushes - steel for getting some metal bits clean, and the soft dusting brushes for the sensors and other sensitive areas

degreaser and warm water, some old towels and either some trim restorer or low sheen tyre shine for the rubbers and plastic bits to bring them up

plenty of patience and very flexible hands - taking the fuel rail guard, airbox, battery and engine cover off make things alot easier!

i'm too scared to spray the whole engine with degreaser then hose it off

microfibre cloths and degreaser if needed. Just keep wiping till the crap is removed. Try not to get the bay too wet, and definately avoid water round the belts. No need to hose inside the bay really to be honest.
