engine bay cleaning

i have heard of / seen people jet washing / steam cleaning the engine bay

is this possible???

Possible, but prob not advisable. Get in there with some apc and elbow grease

Valeting company near me sprays with APC, leaves to soak for 4-5 minutes then jet washes off!

If you're going to do it then cover all wires electrics with plastic bags and put rubber bands round the bottom of them. Then run the engine for 10 mins with the bonnet open to dry it.

Just do it and don't worry. Unless you focus in one spot for a continued amount of time, it won't pose any problems.

Have Jet washed mine without covering anything before.

Just kept the lance moving from a distance and did come up nice!

Did it with engine running and then left running for a while afterwards and have had no problems.

Done this a couple of times!

Id wouldnt jetwash any engine, especially a Renault engine.
