i had a fiesta rs turbo b4 my clio, and the oil cap popped off on it (common problem) and oil went everywhere, so i took it to a garage to get a new clutch put on it b4 i sold it, and the chap there told me to get the engine steam cleaned b4 i let anyone view it cus it looked a mess, so i paid £15 to get it cleaned up and it came up brand new! WELL worth the money if you ask me, and you dont have to do ne thing apart from pick it up shiney and new

engines are suppose to have oil on them, sort yourselves out FFS LOL
Buy some AG engine and machine, soak the engine bay. Buy a £39 pressure washer from B&Q and blast the s**t off. Works everytime.
Exactly what parts need covered up when blasting it with a powerhose?
And what could you cover these parts with if you get it steamed?
Yeah no problem.
I can do it over the weekend if you want. £15.

If you have an Open Induction kit, cover that. Also cover the plugs. Other than that, everything else is fine. Just use your common sense and don't go mad.
