Engine conversion Help

I need a 2.0 16V F4R motor for a megane scenic i know i can use a 172 motor with megane ancilaries but not many around & big money.
What i want to know is will the 1.6 16v run with the 2.0 ecu & ancilaries I think it will but can anyone confirm this will work before I spend my hard earned on a 1.6 16V motor.

i aint a mechanic but am fairly sure the 2.0 ecu wont work with a 1.6 engine? surely someone out there can enlighten you properly though mate!

NO CHANCE , THE 2.0 ENGINE HAS VARIABLE VALVE TIMING . TRY CIT-REN LTD THEY ALWAYS HAVE THEM ENGINES IN STOCK

I refuse to pay the money they are asking, I've had 2 172 f4r motors in the past most I've paid is £350 they'll want at least double that.

I BROUGHT ONE OF THEM £350 + VAT THAT WAS QUITE REASONABLE
