Engine Cover Painting????

Afternoon

I hope this is in the right section lol

I have seen a lot of pic's on here and other places with people colour coding there engine cover to match there car.

I have a Racing Blue 182 Gordini and want to see if I can get my engine cover RB and add the white where needed, think it would look fly!

Is this something you buy pre-done or do you buy the paint and do it yourself? I have no experiance with this so would be gratefull for some asisstance?

I doen mine red, really easy.

Take the cover off
sand down
spray with primer
sand again
Paint RB
As may coats untill your happy with the finish. do thin coats to stop it running.

Sounds like you know what your doing mate. I wouldn't have had a clue but I shall look into buying the goods and speak to someone about getting the Racing Blue spray, I don't think its the sort of thing that you can buy over the counter so will have to find a supplier who can mix it.

halfrauds color match (ahem) but most indipendant paint shops that are car specific should be able to mix it up for you.

Plenty of people on here, including me, can do spraying, so if your not 100% about doing it, just get someone on here to do it for you.

Gulik, no it doesnt get hot enough.
