Engine cover screws?

  Monaro VXR/Cupra TDi
Looking to buy a set of screws for a 182 engine cover recently purchased.

Does anybody know what type I would need.

Can they only be bought through Renault?

Thanks.:)

When i went to my local they said Theyd have to order then in, me and the guy laughed about it.

There like 1.50 or something if you msearch for the part numbers...

He never phoned back to say he got them in though lol

What a rip off for one 6mm bolt :(

Wouldn't you be better looking around local hardware shops for m6 bolts long enough for the back of the cover and hacksaw them down in length for the front of the cover ?

They may not be torx heads on them from a local hardware shop.

But would it matter ?

If the bolts are hacked off to lenth there is a small risk of damaging the threads, better just paying the rip of price and getting the real ones imo, ive spent far to much money on past cars repairing bodged items, the real deal is better in the long run;)

Or buy 2 small ones and 2 larger ones, no hacking required :p

Loads of places online sell stainless/anodised, even titanium M6 bolts :)

I have silver hex screws in mine at moment which are a bit worse for wear so I ordered 4 new ones from Renault and got black torx-headed ones :S

They right?

Go to the Renault garage, they're bound to have them. Everytime my Car went in it came out missing a bolt. Now have two different matching bolts in the front holes with Aln Key heads and take a photo on my phone everytime it goes in for a service. Sad state of affairs. Bought it brand new and it was already missing one of the plastic screws that hold the plastic cover in place at the bottom of the windscreen.....
