Engine cover

Hi why do some people take there engine cover off? Is it to tidy up the engine bay, to make it look better? Or to cool the engine? Got me thinking as i have been looking at many 182s and most of them dont have an engine cover, yet mine does! Apologies if that is a ridiclous question.

Cup ones didn't come with one.

I'm actually putting mine back on as it tidies everything up!

Massive weight saving without the engine cover. Turns your 1*2 into a racecar.
