Engine Covers

Did all 172's come with the plastic engine cover?

I've not got one on my 2000 X reg 172 but didn't know if that was something that was only added on the later cars, although i expect it probably should have it.

How much are they to buy? I know my local breakers will have some, but just want to check average price for a second hand one as they like to push thier luck with how much they charge!

All 172s apart from the Cup came with rocker covers.

As far as I am aware anyway.

they're too heavy - that's why the cup hasn't got them.

You'll need a hand to lift it if your fitting it on your own !!
