Engine Cuts out up on Start - any Idea's ?

when ever i turn the ignition off ... and then back on if i give the car (clio 1.2) abit of gas whilst stationary the engine just cuts out ... its annoying because its habbit for me to start the engine with gas .... any ideas on what this could be?... thanks in advanced.

Does it do it if you don't have you foot on the go pedal?
