Engine light, code P0638

Hi, yesterday in my Clio 1.2 the spark plug light came on followed by the engine light. The car had no power after 3000 revs. After a few restarts the spark plug light went off but engine light stayed on. Had a mate plug his machine in and the problem was : P0638 Throttle body actuator.
What exactly does it mean and what's the solution?

It's saying there is a fault with the throttle body circuit so before you go out and buy a new one I'd get it properly diagnosed (no offence to your mate). Throttle bodies are known on the 1.2 but they're not that common and as they're far from cheap I'd want to rule out the cheaper items first such as the pedal potentiometer and more importantly/likely, (delete where appropriate), the wiring.

Thanks for the reply, my mate turned of the light the same day and it hasnt seem to come back since, nor have i noticed any problems again, thanks though.
