Engine light problem.

Hi just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction of what my problem could be...

I’ll be driving along and my engine light will come on, then I will lose power and the car feels like it’s gonna stall, then the engine light goes off after a couple of seconds and all the power comes back as if nothing happened.

Kinda strange and annoying as it happens at random times.

Put a code reader on it it will have fault code stored.
