Engine light

Recently I have noticed that when just my ignition is on a light in the shape on an engine comes on in orange on the bottom right of my dash underneath the open door light. Not sure whether this is my engine management light, it goes off when the engine is turned on, very vague but I was hoping somebody knew what this problem was?

It's the bulb check. Some manufacturers turn it off after a few seconds of ignition on, others leave it on until you start the engine. Nothing to worry about - the MIL is only an issue if it comes on with the engine running.
