Engine management light problem

I have recently been having a few problems with my Clio 1.2 16v its 2002 and has 73,000 miles on it.

The problem is when it gets revved alot i.e close to 5,000 revs sometimes the engine management light comes on and I lose acceleration, the same thing happens if I sit at high speed for a while.

AllI do is turn the key off and back on and acceleration comes back and the light goes off in a few seconds.

Does anyone have any ideas on the problem or have experienced anything similar?

Check the lambeda sensor

Maybe got to try fix a PC up first (this isn't mine)

Will maybe take a look at it. Take it out and give it a clean before i replace it.
Have also been told there could be a problem with the wiring loom of the car would this be right??
