Engine management light

3rd day with the car and the orange engine management light has popped up.
Any ideas what this could mean.

There was an advisory on the last MOT saying small hole in exhaust and I can hear it blowing, could this be the problem?

Also had a quick look under the car and I can see a patch about the size of a fist of white exhaust putty just before the back box.... related?

Could be, solid engine management light usually means there's been an excess of exhaust emissions.

Down at the garage today, hopefully wont need a new exhaust or lamba, wheres the cheapest place to get these just incase?
