Engine Mount Part Number Query

  RS172 PH1
I've just purchased a new engine mount (right hand top) for my RS172 PH1, but the part number received doesn't match what I expected based on what my local deal advised I should order.

Is anyone able to confirm what the difference is between

6000073669 Engine mount pass side - (this is what my dealer said I needed).
7700795688 Engine mount drivers side front - (this is that part that I received).

I'm hoping the mounts are actually identical and that simply one is for LH Drive and one for RH Drive Clio's

Is anyone able to shed some light on the difference between those two parts ? just eyeballing my existing mount in the car what I've received appears to match.

They're not steering wheel location specific i'm afraid and I suspect, based on the "6000" prefix its a simple case of updated part numbers to suit both Renault/Nissan Alliance platforms/systems. This is what I can see:

6000073669: Used on Clio II (PR1247)
7700795688: Used on Clio I (PR1260, 1262, 1285, 1286), Clio II (PR1247), Extra (PR1159)

Whether there is a physical difference between the two part numbers I cannot see as the images on RenaultNET are pretty generic i'm afraid but i'm certain the "6000" prefix is a Nissan cross-over part number. If your dealer is saying go with the 6000073669 though I'd go with that unless there's a huge difference in price.

Thanks for the reply Mick, much appreciated, I believe the dealer is basing his recommendation on Dialogys as it lists the correct part number as being the 6000 one. I've already brought the mount from ebay becuase there was almost a $200 difference between dealer price here (in New Zealand) and what I could get from ebay UK so I'm stuck with it probably for now anyway, can't visually see any difference just looking at the mount still in the car so I guess only way now to find out is try and fit it.

Yeah, if their Dialogys is using the most up-to-date price listing discs then it will only show the "6000" part for the Clio I 172 type code now.

I'd wager that there's actually no difference between the two parts physically and that you'll be happy with the eBay purchase/cash saving
