where the best place to get engine mounts?? are they much better than standard ones??

try k-tec, they seem to have a good range.

Have the k-tec uprated ones fitted to the 1.4 Clio.

Omg at first they were shaking the car to dust but once settled in they are just as civilised at OEM spec.

Seemed to have stood the test of time too, plus they look better

for standard mounts, you've got the Renault parts; pattern parts from suppliers like ECP/GSF/etc; Kangoo diesel mounts (which may or may not be stiffer than the Clio's - still don't know!)

'uprated' mounts; you've got the Powerflex poly dogbone bushes; the Vibratechnics mounts that KTEC sell; or the Group N set from RenaultSport (which are prohibitively expensive for most)

you'd pay twice as much for a set of uprated mounts as you would a set of standard mounts; they'll add noise/vibration (not unbearable imo - subjective), but will be stiffer than the OE set-up and should last considerably longer as well

id go for the vibratechnics ones from k tec the vibration isnt bad at all

I have the k-tech ones and think they are brilliant. The extra vibration is far out weighed by the uprated proformance of the mounts

The Ktec mounts are excellent, completely transforms the car.
