Engine out or not

To do a clutch is it an engine out job or just drop the gearbox out.172 ph2.cheers

Drop subframe , remove gearbox.
Engine stays in

You can get an engine out of the top within two hours, I'd always do that just for the ease!

That's ok if I had a crane to lift it out but I don't
