engine probs help.

hi all. i know this is cliosport but i know sum1 with a reno laguna. its a r plate, it dun 125k miles. wen on full lock it cuts out also when braking. any ideas ppl.

what engine is it? (probably 8v 1.8L or 2L) probably the idle valve there commen for it.

It got power steering ?? As my revs drop a little on full lock !! never stalled tho

yes it is powersteering

Thats ure prob mate - the power steering is draining the power - if you think about it the slower you go, the lower the revs go, so as you break and are say going around a corner very slowly then ure power steering is working off low revs and if your idle valve is slightly buggered then its gonna run outa puff and stall ure engine. Clios are hugely common for it aswel - i should know ive had two that have done it!! A garage can fixed rapidly!!..
