Engine Sump Tool

hi, jus a quickie. what tool do i need to undo the plug at the bottom of the sump and where do i get it?

i bought a tool from halfords (made for the job)

think its just called a sump plug adaptor xxx size (worth getting the tape measure out to make sure u get the right size)

8mm for my 1.6 - dunno if the dci's are the same

Should be 8mm square drive sump plug adapter.

halfords should have one if not try sockets or a chissel and hammer and just give it a tap and then put a wide enough straight screw driver in

As said it should be an 8mm square sump plug key. Buy one for the sake of a few quid, using chisels and hammers = Pikey Engineering lol.

Get the right tools for the job. You can buy a 3/8" drive socket with 8mm square for less than £2.50.
