Good morning! I have a Clio 1.2 V Reg (2000), At the weekend my engine decided to sh£$ its self... Shes done 100k+ and decided to konk out on the missus when driving during the super market run! The motor turns over really fast like there is no compression and she wont Bump off, It jerks slightly 1ce when you lift the clutch to bump but then roll's freely as if you have the clutch pressed down.. Fuel is there, Spark is strong...Plugs all seated correctly, Im not a mechanic but im certain theres something seriously wrong..
Regardless of this i am aware that the engine has done a fair amount of milage and i am prepared to just shell out £250 or whatever is required to buy a full lower milage replacement motor for the missus as she has now lost faith with this engine over the years and the problems.
My only question is.. What Engine can i use? If i can get a newer engine i will... but if i am limited to my options that is fine!
For example... will any of the below suite? Help would be gratefull! Thank you.
