EPAS delayed response

Hi guys - looking for some sound advice please… When I bought my 172 Cup it was already fitted with EPAS. The car is used for speed hillclimbs. But when subject to vigorous steering inputs there is sometimes a moment’s delay in the steering’s response!! Is there an easy fix to eliminate this scary defect or what do I need to replace? The power setting is already turned up to the max. Any advice will be very much appreciated. Cheers!
